After many long years being in the “Idea’s stage”, going through scripts, waiting for everyone to come on board, Night at the Museum 3 is finally happening.
Ever since Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian came out back in 2009, I’ve been waiting anxiously for a third installment in the series, and now, the third one is finally happening. So far a release date for December 19, 2014 is already set for the third movie. Ben Stiller is again reprising his role as Larry Daley. Robin Williams and Ricky Gervais are also set to reprise there roles along with Stiller. And it doesn’t stop there, Ben Kingsley is set to go in the movie as a Egyptian pharaoh, along with other regular co stars Owen Wilson and Steve Coogan as Jedediah and Octavius and the rest of the gang. Not only that, the best news of all is Principle Photography has also been commencing since January 27th.
As far a plot goes, that is still TBA. I don’t mind waiting and neither should you; it makes the movie more exciting waiting for it, and building up the suspense, which will build up the audience. My only disappointment is that there will be no Kahmunrah (Played by the brilliant Hank Azaria.) he was a unique character that is worth bringing back. He was funny, evil, an awesome villain to have.
Shawn Levy, director and producer of the first two films, is set to go at the directing and producing once again for the third installment.
